Two US commercial ships that crossed the Strait of Hormuz on Monday had U.S. military security teams aboard as Iran launched attacks against them during the transit, according to two US officials.
Iran targeted both ships with missiles, drones and armed small boats, but the US military' intercepted the attacks and blew up the small boats, the Pentagon said.
