Major technology companies including OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon are calling for a broad defensive push against an expected surge in AI-powered cyberattacks. More than 100 companies, including Broadcom, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, IBM, Mastercard, Oracle and Visa, signed a joint letter warning that AI-enabled attacks will become far more widespread in the coming months as models grow increasingly capable. The group urged governments and industry leaders to rapidly deploy their technology, resources and expertise to strengthen digital security.
